Principles of Lucida

Holistic Interior Design is an integrated, multi-disciplinary practice with one purpose: Create an ideal indoor environment that supports the wellbeing of the occupants and the environment . It incorporates scientific studies in Natural Science, Human Biology and Environmental Psychology to understand how our surroundings impact us. It depends on technology and design to find suitable solutions that address wellbeing.

As we spend 90% of our time indoors, it's become the design's responsibility to address every element that affects all aspects of wellbeing: the physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual aspects.

Our Design for Wellbeing uses six pillars: Principles of Lucida. These practices address the aspects of wellbeing in the built environment to create spaces that align with who people are their core, reflect their true sense beauty and support their health and wellness.

Interior Design

Interior design is our base and first platform. It applies creative and technical solutions to create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment. This principle enhances the function and quality of the interior by following a systematic and coordinated methodology.

Biophilic Design

Biophilic Design -based on the theory of Biophilia- recognises that we are biologically encoded to associate with natural features and processes. Our connections to nature and the natural elements are instrumental to people's wellbeing on the physical and psychological level. Since today's natural habitat is mostly the built enviornment where we spend 90% of our time, Biophilic Design integrates natural aspects that contribute to our health and wellness.

Colour Design

Our colour preferences and colour imbalances can reveal a great deal about us, whether it’s an emotional, physical, mental or spiritual challenge. Colour Design studies these effects and selects colours and colour palettes to create the desired moods and evoke the desired emotions.

Universal Design

Universal Design is the practice of making a space safe and accessible for everyone, regardless of physical capabilities. A well-designed space following Universal Design guidelines results in a smart, beautiful, and technologically advanced space.

Sustainable Design

We need to take care of nature so it can take care of us. Taking sustainable design to a different dimension, we provide affordable solutions that help reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste and create a healthy productive environment.

Feng Shui

While Feng Shui is a complex practice with many different schools and theories, we use Feng Shui simply to assess and improve the energy flow and balance. For more in-depth Feng Shui work, we partner with Feng Shui Masters with 30 years of experience.
